Chandigarh June 30---A Meeting of the Chandigarh Unit of Shiromani Akali Dal was held in Head Office of the party under the President ship of S. Hardeep Singh Buterla. All the newly elected office bearer and members of the Chandigarh unit of the party participated in this meeting. Besides other important issues, the issue of promotion of mother-Tongue Punjabi and strategy for the Lok Sabha 2019 was discussed in detail. 

          The party members expressed their resentment against the our BJP alliance partners for denying the due claims of Shiromani Akali Dal Chandigarh and for ignoring members of our party during important events of the alliance held from time to time. It was observed during the meeting that the Shiromani Akali Dal had been allotted one post of Mayor/Senior Deputy Mayor/ Deputy Mayor in Municipal Corporation, Chandigarh since its incorporation. But in the last two terms of the Municipal Corporation Chandigarh, Shiromani Akali Dal, Chandigarh had been denying all of these assignments in the corporation. Similarly, the party workers had been ignored during the Corporation Wards represented by council of BJP. In this meeting it was also considered and decided and S. Sukhbir Singh Badal, President, Shiromani Akali Dal about the indifferent and non-corporative attitude of Chandigarh BJP unit towards SAD Chandigarh Unit .

          It was also suggested that ward wise committees of the party be constituted to strengthen the party. S. Charanjit Singh Villy, Secretary General , Shiromani Akali Dal, Chandigarh assured the participants in the meeting that the problems being faced by the residents of the Chandigarh be brought to the notice of S.Hardeep Singh Buterla, President Shiromani Akali Dal, Chandigarh and serious efforts will be made to find out solution of all the problems.
